One of the best parts of a guided trip is how little you have to worry about. Every rod, reel, lure and piece of terminal tackle is already aboard, the bait is handled, and the cooler of ice for your catch is ready. Still, folks always ask what they should pack, so here is the straight answer.

    The essentials

    • South Carolina fishing license — required for everyone 16 and older, easy to buy online
    • Food and drinks for the trip — a small cooler fits fine on the boat
    • Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, polarized sunglasses
    • Weather-appropriate clothing — mornings on the water are cooler than you think
    • Camera or phone for photos of your catch

    What we provide

    • All rods, reels, bait and tackle
    • Adult and kid-sized life jackets
    • A canopy top for shade and comfortable seating for six
    • Two live wells and dual Garmin fish finders doing the locating for us
    • Fish cleaning advice and local know-how, free of charge

    Leave these at home

You do not need your own tackle box, your own net or your lucky rod — the boat is fully outfitted. Glass bottles are best left ashore too. Other than that, bring a good attitude and be ready to reel. Call or text 864-417-7163 to get your date on the calendar.
